So just had my follow up after surgery 28th Nov. removed bladder, prostate, serum glands and lymph nodes. Original surgeon said stage 3 invasive he now says stage 2?

However cancer cells have been found in the lymph nodes and have to go chemotherapy now so am waiting first referral. Suppose the question is any ideas of what to accept and should the stage difference make a difference?

  • Hello . Sorry to hear you have another hurdle to cross after what you have already been through. I have not experienced bladder removal, so not really in a position to help. I have had my share of chemo and can say I didn't really have any problems with it. I hope it does the trick for you. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • My surgeon told me that 25% Px are upstaged at time of surgery ie they find the cancer more advanced than originally diagnosed. Or, they can more accurately stage it. Hence the recommendation to add chemo to the treatment. It's what it is, hope the treatment isn't too arduous, but is successful.
