Morning All. Just back from my annual CT scan. Didn't read the letter properly and went to the usual scanner department, only to be told I was booked in to the mobile unit at the back of the hospital. Lost in a maze of corridors, and then across several car parks, I eventually found it outside the mortuary. I was told it was here to tackle a massive backlog of scans. Very efficient. No gowns, just dropped my pants and on to the table. In and out in 15 minutes. Now a couple of weeks wait to chase up results. I hope everyone is doing well and good luck to all going through treatment. Best wishes.
Hi rily
Had my annual check up scan last Monday in Bristol. Three medics had two goes each at putting a canula in my hand and arm and as the sixth one bent and punctured the vein I told him to remove it and patch me up.
I had the scan without contrast. I mentioned I'd had a scan with contrast back in August in Bath to be told that they would request those images for my oncologist. Who would have thought the NHS is becoming joined up?!?
I get the results next Friday then will be off to the pub for the '2 large G&Ts for 15 quid' offer. I hope your results are clear so you can raise a glass of cheer too.

Oh well guys we might as well have a few whilst we're waiting to cheer us along
£15 as a special offer - how much is it usually? Cheaper to drink at home...... share a bottle of wine over a meal at home is more my style!
I've got renogram on Monday - so loads of drinking water & weeing it out to look forward to.
We get 2 Tanqueray 10 and tonic £8 80 at our local Witherspoons

20 quid plus the tonics, short term chair rental, log fire, smiling bar person, business rates ... and I agree, a litre of bombay is 20 quid in tesco right now.
Cheers!

Ah, yes, you need the atmosphere too. Our local pretty much has a negative aura as far as I'm concerned. Plus I'm a cheapskate
We have a pub in town that I call The Moon, no atmosphere! (slinks off, head down).
