Relief at last. I spoke to my Urology nurse who told me I had been too active playing golf, driving etc so soon after my rigid cystoscopy. She said the scab over my wound had probably come loose hence the bleeding. After gallons of water and complete rest I have been two days free of any bleeding. Many thanks for all your support.

Hi Garviv. Good to know you managed to talk to the nurse, and things are settling down. Put your feet up for a while and let the healing process take its course. Best wishes.
Hi All
I have not had too much bleeding after my TURBT on 11 November. I have just urinated and found blood on the toilet tissue. On Saturday I carried some quite heavy shopping home, honest I have been feeling so well that I forgot I should not lift anything too heavy.
What I am asking is should I be taking it easy still and how long did it take to get results. I can wait quite happily for them but just wanted to get an idea of how long everyone had to wait.
Love Inanna
Hi Inanna. It is possible you have aggravated the wound as it takes several weeks to heal fully, however, it is more likely the scab is starting to come away. This usually happens around the 2 week mark. It is part of the healing process. The scab on the wound starts to break up and is passed in the pee, and slight signs of blood are not unusual. They don't always warn you of this and it can be a bit of a shock if you are not expecting it. Lots of water to flush things out and prevent any blockages. Obviously, if the bleeding gets heavy or does not stop, contact the medics.
As regards results. it usually takes around 10 days for the path reports to come through. The waiting is more to do with the appointments system. If you do not hear anything in a couple of days, then give the consultant's secretary a ring to chase up. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
