Hi,Thank you for all your good wishes for my histology results. It's good news, the surgeon is confident that all the tumour has gone. The margins were clear and there was no lymph node involvement.Apparently he had quite a job to get it out which explains why I was so much longer in the theatre than expected.I don't have to go back to Southmead but will need regular scans at Yeovil Hospital. There was a medical student present so they had a look at my abdomen.I took my sister Sarah in with me and we were both so happy to be able to shake Mr Rowe's hand and thank him. I would not have lasted long if my bladder had not been removed so urgently.Everything has happened so quickly I was only diagnosed on the 3rd July and had my bladder removed on the 30th September.I'm very relieved and looking forward to the future and getting mum back home.Love to you all Jane XX
Such brilliant news Jane, and congratulations to the marvellous Mr Rowe. So glad the NHS worked it's magic for you. That's what old Nye Bevan hoped for ....the best possible treatment free at the point of need. Fingers crossed your convalescence will go from strength to strength and you have a healthy future reunited with your mum. x
Got my fingers crossed for you Wilbert. Sending love. xxx
Hope all is going well for Mr W
Love Inanna xx
Hi Wilbert. All sounds very positive. I will raise a glass to you and Mr. W. tonight. I love good news. Gives me an excuse to have a wee dram. That's 2 today. we know these unusual spots are quite common, so hopefully just treatment residue. Best wishes.
Great news for you both, Wilbert I’m sure Mr W will be fine, I’ve had red patch once due to BCG, Mr W has had way more than I had so it’s very likely that’s what’s caused it.
Anyhow im in Tenerife at the moment so will defo have a few vodkas for you both tonight, well I say few ...3s my limit nowadays lol, take care all of you xx
Thanks enjoy the sunshine We go back to Lanzarote in 3 weeks for a month Mr W did ask if we should cancel but specialist nurse doing flexi said no she will book biopsy and scan for when we return He said she seemed quite relaxed He did have red patches after bcg number 9 which was inflammation She also said that's it for bcg no more required as he has been clear for 3 years which.makes us feel more relaxed Woukd have preferred a straight all clear but as CB says hokey cokey that's what it's all about
Enjoy your vodka your vodka you say 3 is your limit but how big is your glass ? lol
love
Wilbert
