My motorhome insurance was up for renewal last month. Found out that I needed to inform the DVLA about the diagnosis. Rang them and explained that I am stable and my oncologist says it is OK to drive if I feel fit enough. DVLA staff member said she would send a letter saying that I am clear to drive. Received the letter in a few days. Are other folks aware of the need to inform the DVLA?
Hi Richard. Over the years, I have never been made aware of this. No doctors have ever mentioned it. I usually drive to my appointments. Best wishes.
I think it's a case of 'it depends' so here's the link to the. Gov website info: www.gov.uk/cancer-and-driving
Crustybladder just wanted to say I like your signature. Made me smile
Thanks, Mrs CB hates it! Ironically, the NHS has removed both my bladders so I really ought to change it :)

There's a whole long list of notifiable conditions you're supposed to tell DVLA. I reckon they'd be snowed under if everyone stuck to that. Doctors often forget to ask about driving or advise if you should or not. That includes eyesight requirements! It's down to each driver to check...
