Mitomycin

Hi niall I should have stated my course this Tuesday just gone ,a phone call from hospital on Monday gave same reason I live in W Wales  harry

Hi again Niall73 my next appointment Tues 12 Nov was cancelled .Had a letter on Friday with a new list of appointments starting on the 19th Nov ... No mention in letter about shortage, I hope they have the drug by then, NOT just buying time to stop me from the worry of it all  cheers harry

Reports suggest that the major supplier of Mitomycin will not be able to offer any supplies for 12 months. There is a smaller supplier, but resources will be stretched. Medics are being advised on alternative treatments. Best wishes.

Thanks for the info about Mitomycin  the nurse I spoke to on Monday said she was going to speak to Doctor about what other treatment would be possible I guess I will know more on the 19th my next appointment as soon as I hear post the outcome .but thank you again rily..cheers harry

Hi I could not open the link to read  Information on Mitomycin shortage. but looking online I found a notice saying about the product ( Mitomycin ) it is under recall ??? not sure if that is the problem at the moment cheers harry

I have e mailed my local MP  (Nigel Evans) to highlight this issue  and asked him to contact the Health Secretary but because a General Election has been called there is no guarantee I will get a reply.

i will keep the group informed if I get a reply
