I'm not quite sure how to phrase my query but here goes. Husband had rigid cystoscopy a week last Tuesday 8weeks after his initial 6BCG. He has/had CIS. He came home with a catheter in and had trial without it on Friday. Unfortunately he had retention and had to be re catheterised. The CNS showed us the ultrasound picture and is was obvious that the prostate was pressing on his urethra. After his cystoscopy he was told that if the biopsy results were positive then he would go on to bladder removal
But if negative then an operation to ream the prostate and more BCG. Has anyone been in this situation or know how they manage an operation and BCG? He is still waiting on the MDTmeeting for final answer on biopsy but as you may realise I am very anxious and need advice asap.Thank you
Hi . Can't really help with your question as I have had no experience of your husband's complication. Just hoping he gets some good news from the biopsy results. Best wishes.
Hi JennyJJ,Have you posted your query to the prostate board ? I'm sure someone there may have had the procedure and be able to advise you.Best wishes Jane
