hello guys hope your all doing as well as can be excepted .I’ve had a date for my cystectomy wed 10th April to say im a bit scared is an understatement . Ive cleaned my house from top to bottom tryIng to keep busy and not to think about what if’s but im afraid its not working ive got to have a stoma as they couldnt offer me a neo bladder as the Cancer is in the urethra . Im glad they are moving fast as i dont want the cancer to spread but i feel as if i havent got over my last op yet . I also learned yesterday that when i went in on the 14 feb they only took enough for a biopsy and left the tumours there not sure why
Im also finding it extremely difficult as my sister who is six years younger than me at 44 was diagnosed may 2017 with breast cancer and now has secondarys in her liver and bones and is terminal.I really need to be there for her and hate this illness for stopping me .she starts chemo wednesday as the last 3 months chemo tablets have not worked and she now as more lesions on her liver it really is a shit storm
Hi Super girl. Sorry to hear about your sister. These things never have good timings. I wish you well with your upcoming op. Best wishes.
Hello Super girl
Life has a habit of kicking us when we're down and your news made me feel very sad for you. You and your sister need lots of treats be that walks near water, cake, wine or whatever you really enjoy together. Go and do those things.
Have a big e-hug from a crusty old bloke.

I may appear to be listening but in my head I'm all at sea.
What a horrid situation for both you & your sister. You definitely deserve some pampering. Post op though, you must put yourself first for a while, to get fit & well again as soon as you can. Hope all goes well.
Lost for words reading this. All I can say is I wish yourself and your sister all the luck in the world xx
Thank you Nickfreckle and i hope you get the treatment that you want and it goes well for you. My husband is also a bus driver here in Wales and there are a two drivers in his depot with stomas and continue to drive x
