Hi everyone I hope this doesn’t sound too trivial considering what you are all going through… but I am desperately trying to get travel insurance for my partner who has lung cancer and is on morphine and a regime of 3 weekly cycles. He really needs a lift and we used to so enjoy our holidays he’s getting very low that he can’t potentially travel ever again.
I have contacted BIBA and 10 other insurance companies all with rejection and by telephone. Has anyone managed to get travel insurance while undergoing treatment? Or has any experience negative or positive.
Thank you and keep safe.
Hi Sylvia
Firstly I’m so sorry to hear that. thank you so much for letting me know may I ask a couple of questions are you on strong painkillers eg MST morphine? Plus how long will you continue with the 6 weekly immunology is it up to 2 years like my partner.
totally understand if you don’t wish to answer.
Sending you lots of positive thoughts.
Very best wishes Angela
Sorry Sylvia assuming you are not having chemo as well?
Hi Angela. Yes my Immunotherapy finishes after 2 years. I have it every 6 weeks and fortunately I am in no pain so apart from the odd headache not a problem. I'm not having Chemotherapy but I know lots of patients have both. I hope your partner responds well. All the very best.
Sylvia x
