Does anyone know of a travel insurance company that allows you to exclude a condition from cover?
I have papillary thyroid cancer which is now in a very low and stable state, though not entirely gone, and I am undergoing routine periodic monitoring. I am not awaiting any treatment and there is absolutely no risk of any new health issue to do with this condition (at home or abroad). My oncologist is not concerned at all.
I would like to find insurance cover that allows me to simply exclude it from being covered. Once cancer is mentioned the premiums go so high, which doesn't seem right given the non-existent risk of any issue arising that is related to it. I have heard this kind of insurance is possible, from the thyroid oncology nurse at the hospital who says she heard it from other patients. But I am having no luck actually finding a company that works like this.
I am currently getting a quotation from InsuranceWith and they will not exclude any condition.
Any experience or advice would be very welcome!
