Hi all
After a endo-gastroscopy I have been diagnosed with a large ulcer at the top part of my stomach. The doc didn't mention the C word, but he might just as well have done, repeating several time how concerned/worried he was. And the tests that are to follow point every bit to it. I am preparing myself for the worst, which is hard to do even if I am not normally a person to panic easily.
I desperately lookin for support from all of you who have been there and advise on what to expect.

Hi and welcome to the online community
Having tests to try and find out what is wrong is an extremely worrying time and it's natural to be scared that you might have cancer. However, doctors have to perform various tests to rule things out before they can decide what treatment you may need.
You say that your doctor has told you that you have a large stomach ulcer but you're assuming that you also have cancer. If you can tell me which type of cancer you think you might have them I could point you in the direction of a group to join where you could discuss your worries.
Alternatively, you could give the Macmillan Support Line a call on 0808 808 0000 and discuss your worries with one of the cancer nurse specialists. It's free to call and available everyday from 8am to 8pm.
