Hi all,
My mother is just recovering from major abdominal surgery where they have removed cancer from rectum bowel and the abdominal wall. She also has a cluster of tumours on the liver. Waiting for the oncologist appointment now which hopefully will be asap. They have indicated that there isn’t anything they can do for the liver but will possibly give her radiotherapy to stop or halt regrowth in her stomach. I hate the waiting around and don’t really know what to expect from the meeting with oncologist , prior to the operation they said that if successful it would give her months to live. She’s doing so well at the moment I find it difficult to think that’s the case.
Thanks for listening. Google has taken up a lot of my time since we found out trying to find information. Stumbled across this today and thought I would try and connect with a few people .

Hi
I am so sorry to hear about your mum. It sounds like a tough operation and I’m glad to hear she’s doing well.
You’ve said you’d like to connect with a few people. This community is organised into groups so people with similar experiences can get in touch and support each other. It really helps to know you’re not alone. You can scroll through them by going to the “groups” tab on the community home page. I wonder if you might get some support from the family and friends group
