I know its probably the wrong place to post this but I like to write poems and thought that maybe i would share just one to give you an idea of what I write. I have had quite a few published on the Silversurfers web page. Hope you enjoy this. I also have a Facebook page called Poems by Elinor.
I sailed the seven seas to find the seven rocks
Upon which the seven sirens sat to lure men to their death
Each sang their own sweet song
Which no man could resist
I saw them sitting there with crowns upon their heads
Flicking silver tails upon the crashing waves
Their golden locks moved softly
Upon an evening breeze.
They saw my ship afar
And they sang their deathly song
They smiled and greeted us
As we crashed upon the rocks.
We tried to swim but to no avail
As they pulled us one by one
To greet their father Neptune
And to live beneath the sea..
Hi Ellie, Yes I liked it too. However, I'm sure you must have written some cheerier ones, maybe about springtime and everything coming to life! If so I'd like to read that one please!
Well done for being published!

Hi again! Has this happened to anyone else? I hadn't realised it had posted twice but when I clicked "More" to delete it, the only option it gave me was 'edit'. I went into edit and deleted my reply but it still didn't delete? Any advice people please?

The days are dark and cold.
Snow covers the landscape.
People rush about, hurrying to get home.
We wait.
We wait for the first signs Signs that spring is coming.
The emergence of new life Of fresh green shoots and hope.
The daylight gets longer.
The sun warms the land.
Birds get busy building their nests.
Buds turn to flowers.
With Spring comes hope.
Life begins again in a Continuous circle.
We must live through dark times
To see the light.
Hi Ellie
What a lively thought provoking poem, you had my mind following it from start to finish. From someone who was a whisker away from drowning in the sea about 50 years ago, my spine was weaving from side to side the whole way.
Well done Ellie
