Hi there
Not posted in a while as I felt I was becoming too 'needy'. I have been getting chemotherapy and immunotherapy since July last year. I have been very fortunate in not suffering too badly from side effects. I have now reached a point where tbe cancer "is under control". The Chemo has been reduced by another 10% as now getting a build up and suffering side effects. They habe offered to stop Chemo and just continue with Immuno. I am worried that this won't be as effective. I wonder if anyone else has been in a similar position and if so what they did.
Hope you are all liviving as well as you can be and are lucky enough to have the love and support you need.
Best wishes JD
I had four out of my prescribed 6 rounds of palliative chemotherapy, but they stopped as my platelet count was always low, causing delays to any treatment. So now I continue with just immunotherapy and target therapy, for as long as it’s doing good. And so far it is keeping the cancer stable.
The dr wanted me to have something regularly rather than nothing due to delays.
So far, these two treatments are controlling the cancer, but the dr makes it very clear that at some point it won’t. It’s palliative treatment not curative.
My thoughts are to follow the drs advice.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
