Hi all very new to all these and just looking for some guidance. My partner was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer and had surgery 3 weeks ago to remove the tumour he is due to have a 5 hour dose of carboplatin chemotherapy on the 15th of june. We have read of the side effects but still dont know fully what to expect I will be his primary carer but I'm 5 months pregnant so understandably I'm limited with moving him and am very emotional. My concerns and worries are based on his sleeping arrangements toilet using and just general care.any help and guidance would be invaluable.
Morning
Sorry to see you joining us here and reading about your partners diagnosis, but pleased you have found us.
You may also want to join the Testicular Group Link (it's not just for patients) and post this message there as well to cover both bases. The members there will be able to give you experienced advice regarding the Carboplatin and the lovely carers here can help you with the caring aspect
Hope he has recovered well from surgery, but the thought of facing chemo can be scary for everyone :-/
Hope this is of some help at a tough time, G n' J
