hi
i have just come back from my 1 week post op plastics dressing clinic at st georges hospital
i wanted to share my photos with anyone interested.
Hi every one...hope you are all ok.
It was my first day back at work today after 11months and 1 week off...and i feel like ive never been off...but in a good way. I was welcomed back with open arms..and a few tears...and i feel tired but very happy right now. Ive just done a half shift answering the phone...running a few errands ..making cups of tea...just generally easing myself back into a work routine...my feet are aching but ive got the biggest smile on my face...i did it...i got my real life...
I had a transhiatal esophagectomy mid February, have been eating pureed food since coming out of hospital, then tried un-pureed food, this made me sick as I couldn't swallow it. I now seem to be living on yoghurt and soup as anything with even the smallest lumps makes me gag or be sick. When I swallow it feels like someone pressing my throat. Any help gratefully recieved.

…..please Sir, can I have some more? Rest assured, it does state on the packaging that ‘No Tiggers were harmed in the making of this product.’ I can’t honestly believe anyone would allow a Tigger to be juiced anyway, can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth it would cause? Eeyore wouldn’t know what to mope about first! Good thing it’s not real Tigger Juice then and only a nickname for more medication (I can hear the sigh of relief from here!). Tigger juice...
My Dad passed away yesterday evening (04/04/10) He was at home and me and my mum held his hand as he took his last breaths, it was so hard and I still can't quite believe it. I am so glad he managed to come back home from the hospice though. On Friday morn he said he only had 2 days left, he is now at peace. Yesterday was his 17th "birthday", 17yrs since he became a christian so really he is living in eternal life in heaven.
I love my Dad & I will really miss him x
I hope you all had the happiest Easter you could whatever your circumstances.
I feel awful all the time and want to cry all the time. this is so not me I never cry, I find myself crying coming down the stairs, I ache all over and I'm so tired you'd think I'd run a marathon, even my eye lids ache.
I don't know if these are side effects to pain meds or just simply it's all a bit to much for me.
I think it must be limbo land not knowing if the beast has taken up residence elsewhere...
