Hi every one...hope you are all ok.

It was my first day back at work today after 11months and 1 week off...and i feel like ive never been off...but in a good way. I was welcomed back with open arms..and a few tears...and i feel tired but very happy right now. Ive just done a half shift answering the phone...running a few errands ..making cups of tea...just generally easing myself back into a work routine...my feet are aching but ive got the biggest smile on my face...i did it...i got my real life back...and i hope to keep it that way for a long time.

Hi Sue...yes...there is light at the end of the tunnel...and ive had lots of inspiration from the people on here...and im sure you will find that too. How are you feeling now?..hope the 1st chemo wasnt too bad for you once it kicked in...i hope you will soon be where i am now.

The girls at work have been fantastic...they wont let me overdo it...there were buzzers going off on the ward today and its instinct to get up and answer them...if i stood up i got.."and where do you think you're going?"..theyve been really gentle with me..making me cups of tea and fussing...its been great...i cud get used to it...haha...take care and good luck...love Sharon xx

I'm right behind you. I'm returning to work 24th May. I must admit I'm a little excited, I miss all the girls and our chats and laughs, but I'm also feeling apprehensive. I'll have been off work 11 months and I know it will feel strange going back after all this time. But as you say, it's the start of getting back to normal...........scary!
