I can't wait for the catheter to come out on Monday. I have lost a few more tiny clots but my urine is clear. I feel I have been very lucky as far as pain goes. I sailed through the BCG, kept it in for the required time and my urine ran clear after the liquid was let out. My theatre nurse said most people can't hold it in for the full time and he'd never seen such clear urine after the op. I thank God for this and pray my results are just as good. My perspective has changed. I look to the future...
Three days since the op. Pee still clear and little pain. The inactivity is a bummer and I can't wait to get the catheter out. All in all I have been very lucky so far, thank God. I have no appointment yet for the removal. If they don't phone today I shall have to ring them. I have an extra bag but not sure when or how to change it. Also I have to get up in the night to empty my night bag and it's full again in the morning. Is this normal?
I was first diagnosed with skin cancer , Melanoma , 6 years ago following a battle with my GP to actually get an appointment with the relevant department at my local hospital.

Hi all. I went for a short walk today to the local shop. Feeling very well so I'm having to remind myself not to do too much. Two days since turbt and no pain or blood so far. I feel lucky to be so well. Positive vibes for all awaiting news or treatment and to those recovering. Have a nice day everyone.
So - a tired week after the steroids post last week's successful chemo session. Tired this week and constipation unpleasant- may have to laxido tomorrow
Granddaughter's christening this weekend and hoping to have more energy for that
But - a good week and halfway through the planned 6 sessions - fingers crossed for a good review after 4 sessions

I've been having a small problem with the catheter and bag. For one the bag and the elastic made me itch but, more importantly, I kept feeling like I wanted to pee and wasn't sure the bag was in the right place. I thought gravity may help. So, I strapped the bag to the front of my calf, I'm using the strap to keep the tubes from flailing about and wearing a bath towel as s maxi skirt until I buy a couple. I cannot stress how much more comfortable this is compared to strapping it to the thigh...
My turbt was done yesterday. I arrived a 1pm, had op at five and home before nine. Everything went smoothly. I had the BCG in for an hour, no problem. Had saline to wash it out, the nurse said my pee afterwards was the clearest he'd seen. I have a catheter and bag for four or five days then back to have it removed. Hi I'm hoping someone can give me some advice and poss out my mind at rest. I went into hospital with kidney stones and uti last wk. They did a ct a nice which has shown and enlarged spleen and swollen nodes. The urology team discharged me as kidney stones have passed and they could send me home with antibiotics for my uti. Well, today's the day. My op is at one this afternoon. I had sardines on toast before seven and am drinking only water til eleven when I have to stop. We will be leaving at eleven so not drinking will be easy as it is a two bus journey. I want to arrive at the hospital half an hour early so we can find out where everything is and stuff. Dean bought me a new dress to wear in case I come home with a catheter.
Woken up this morning feeling so anxious. 5 weeks until I see my consultant. Too long in my eyes. Been trying to call her secretary to see if there's an earlier appointment but can't get through.
