WHEN DOES THE CATHETER COME OUT?

Less than one minute read time.

Three days since the op. Pee still clear and little pain. The inactivity is a bummer and I can't wait to get the catheter out. All in all I have been very lucky so far, thank God. I have no appointment yet for the removal. If they don't phone today I shall have to ring them. I have an extra bag but not sure when or how to change it. Also I have to get up in the night to empty my night bag and it's full again in the morning. Is this normal?

PS. I have slight pain and have passed a couple of small clots. I was wondering when that would happen. I only have two night bags left and am awaiting a call back about when catheter's coming out. One advice is to rinse out bag with warm water and re-use but the bag they came in says they are single use. Does anyone know if it's ok to re-use or should I sleep with my leg bag open and clamped to a bucket? Only joking.

Rang the hospital to see about an appointment for the catheter to come out. I am waiting for a call back. It will be Monday I think...  I hope. Can't go Sunday because buses are few and far between. I don't want to be standing around for ages waiting for buses. Passed several clots now but pee is still clear as yet. Slightly increased pain but I have Tramadol and paracetamol if I need them. Ah well... I just have to wait.
