Chapter 6; The Anxiety

Less than one minute read time.

Woken up this morning feeling so anxious. 5 weeks until I see my consultant. Too long in my eyes. Been trying to call her secretary to see if there's an earlier appointment but can't get through.

I've got so many unanswered questions! A list as long as my arm. Here are some of them;

• What's the chance of it developing into cancer

• Is it with or without Atypia

• Will my fertility be affected

• Any other treatment other than a hysterectomy or Mirena

• Will you need to do a D&C

• What if you've missed any cancer

The list continues!!

This is difficult for anyone at any age, but you generally only see this is post menopausal woman and some just before they reach menopause. I'm only 23 and have no children yet.

If I can't bring the appointment forward, this is going to be a tough 5 weeks :(

    I

    doubt you'll be allowed to bring your appointment forward but you could ask the secretary if you could meet the consultant in his private clinic. Will cost you about £250. It get, you'll get your answers far quicker.

    However, I'd go on the basis that you're clearvof cancer and the other bits and bobs will be answered at some point.

    Glad you got the all clear.

    I must be lucky then as I managed to bring it forward by 2 weeks plus the consultant will be phoning me at the end of the week!

    That should reassure me enough until I see her
