My dear Dad passed away on Sunday morning at home with my Mum, my sister and I with him. We have spent the last three months caring for him after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer mid July. This last week has been a dreadful time for us we went to hell and back as Dad deterioated. I am not sure how we got through it, but we did with the help of hospice at home nurses and district nurses. Have spent today organising the funeral which is next Monday. I feel in a kind of zombie like state at the...
Hi
I am new to this! so i am not entirely sure what I am doing. I just want to be able to talk to people who share the same sort of feelings as me, as a person who gets left behind.
Love and hugs
Flyss xx
Thank you for all your comments, the only thing that hurts me the most is me not being with my mum when I most want to be there, for I have to be in school and I hate having to do that but I go to school, get on with life and stay behind when she is most tired because it's what she wants whether I want it or not because like i say I will do anything for her because I love the star of the show, my mum!

When Andrew had his CT scan last week they noticed a pool of fluid
lying right next to his new bladder - it was a lymphocele. He had 46
lymph nodes removed during his surgery so not surprising really that
this little pool had formed. Normally, it is absorbed by the body but
in Andrew's case there was an awful lot of it. Yesterday they put a
drain in to remove it - 310 ml came out!
Almost immediately, the pressure he had been feeling went away and,
more importantly...
As saturday is fast approaching and my first marathon comes closer, can someone tell me why the hell i'm doing this? Good cause though!! and not half as daulnting as what dad is going through!
Had second chemo today took 3 hrs. Now have my ball and chain ( Bum bag and Pump) until thursday. Straight away I got pins and needles and the nerve endings of my fingers, toes, lips and this time eyelids all prickling, my eyelids went into spasm and I couldn't open them. It felt really funny and made me laugh. It had calmed down before I got home. Didn't have any sickness with round 1. Just feel a little queasy and tired at the moment.
Listening to other peoples experiences I feel soooo...
I tasted my first sparkling water today. I like it. Kind of like seltzer or club soda. Fizzy without any taste but hydrating...lol..
Kind of a mixed week after chemo. The dexamethasone made me sooo irritable that I cried...because I couldn't understand why I was so jumpy and on edge. I finally looked in the mirror at one point and saw how red my face was from the med. After seeing that I calmed down. There was a reason for me acting the way I was. Which was not pleasant for Honey to endure...
I havent been on very much lately but I have been thinking of you all and I hope everyone is well and doing ok. I havent got much to report really things have been going ok. I have treatment again today which is my 4th cycle of Herceptin this time around. I have a MUGA scan booked for Thursday and a CT for Monday. I am a bit nervous about the CT but I suppose this is going to be the norm from now on but that said I am hopeful everything will be ok. I suppose its just its the first one and I dont...
When will I learn, thought I was being really clever yesterday with my 'I'm fine theres nothing wrong with me' head on and I felt fine and thought I could conquer the world.
Found out a I was driving home that maybe just maybe I was not a fine a I would like to think. On the A12 no bother, then onto the M11 and the scar sight starts to groan a little now and then, by the time hit the M25 it was burning and I was starting to feel sick and sweaty, rolled the window down which resulted...
