Just to let you know the lates - our christmas cruise was not quite as good as I had expected, and I ended up confined to the cabin for 72 hours with a tummy bug! I did manage Christmas day and New Year's Eve, but the bit in the middle disappeared. We got home and within 6 hours my husband got the bug as well, but worse than I was. Spent the next 2 nights in the spare room so I didn't catch it again.
I dutifully had my Ct scan 3 weeks ago, and arrived at the hospital today to find...
You wake up from your snooze....thirsty, peckish, and you need the loo....badly!!...
a few hints to make life a liitle bit easier...
A) lightweight kitchen trolley....these are a godsend, you can put all your stuff on....and only one journey from kitchen to setee... i got mine free from Nhs mobility because i also use it as a walking aid, so have a word with your district nurse...
things to put on your trolley.....juice/water and your meds....sandwich or biscuits...tv remote, book, mob phone....
I just need to have a rant!
I hate it how there's more bad days then good days now... On the bad days it's like, when am I going to have a good day? Tomorrow? Next week? Ever? You just don't know... but on those rare good days, it's like, just waiting for those bad days to come back - probably the next day. You're given that little bit of happiness, and then it's snatched away again.
Yesterday was one of the best days I have had since before I was diagnosed in Jan 2011...
I didn’t plan on a re-match. One championship bout was quite enough but the great match fixer had other thoughts. So here we go again just when I thought I had reached my former fitness levels.

Its been nearly two months since my last post and I dont know where the time has gone.
Christmas was great...... we went to our daughters for dinner and came back stuffed to overflowing........ Boxing Day they all came to us along with no.3 son and his partner and little girl and our latest grand-daughter and her mum.
Hubby is now having counselling with Macmillan but it doesnt seem to be helping much...could be the time of year as we have not long had the anniversary of his brothers...
Hi there Ratfans everywhere. I got this on the internet from America along with a Hoodie that says “Fighting Bowel Cancer” and a T shirt for Picko fighting kidney cancer. So, I'm 25 and received the news on the 10/1/12. I am soooooo scared and although I am remaining as positive as I can, I find it creeps up on me with no warning and brings tears to my eyes. I would love to hear from anyone who has had radiotherapy and can help me feel more confident about the treatment type.
