Tomorrow will be our 29th wedding anniversary I remember the day as if it were yesterday. We had only known each other for 3 months we were skint but happy. Back then 29 years seemed like a lifetime away
Now, well what now. That lifetime has all but gone for Bert, he sleeps almost all the time, when he is awake he is having more and more panic attacks. We will spend the afternoon at the clinic and by the time we get back he will be exhausted and go straight to bed.

Hi Everyone, Hope you are all doing as well as possible.
My darling, handsome dad starts his chemo on Thurs 14th and i am so scared about what will happen.
At the moment when the doctors talk about his illness they could be talking about someone else- he just appears so bright and well.
I am worried that by the end of next week he may actually be poorly.

I'm not sure what it's called now, but it looks different, and feels different and maybe it's time to move on and see these 'changes' as positive and once again embrace the support I generally got from the people on this site. Behind this veil I wear
Of soft smiles and calm demeanor
Cuts a knife of sorrow deep,
No blade was ever keener.
A rope of tears binds my heart
And ties it tight with grief.
Though on the surface I'm serene,
I'm screaming deep beneath.
This veil obsqures the world
And creates of it mere shadows
As I drift around in half-light
Blown wher'ere the wind goes.
Lost in memories, bitter sweet,
Too sad, and tired, to fight,
To find my way from darkness
And leave this endless...
