    On an up !

Saw my consultant on the 13th and had everything crossed that the CA125 would have gone down. This was the first time it had been tested since starting this particular treatment and ....oh joy...it had decreased from 219 to 31 after 2 cycles! He was very pleased with my overall health and it was nice to leave the hospital with a smile on my face.

This smile got even bigger when our lovely daughter arrived for the weekend, accompanied by her (fairly new) boyfriend who we had never met. He was a...

    horse riding

HI, My partner is a keen horse rider and is considering immediate reconstruction using tummy tissue. I wondered if any other readers have experience of this proceedure and the longer term effects that it has on tummy strength or tightness. Any info would be helpful at this stage.

  • The day of Val's funeral
    Ashes to Ashes
Friday 17 Sept 2010 was a pivotal moment in my grieving process for my beloved Val, as I had to collect her ashes from the undertakes. It brought home just how final her death was and the fact I would never ever see her smiling face again.
Since the beginning of recorded time, Hindu and Buddhist faiths have mandated the use of cremation. The underlying belief of these faiths is that the life force that is basic to our human existence is not confined to this one life, but undergoes much transmigration...

    What a lovely day!

George (my husband) politely suggested last night that I should move the pile of stuff that littered the sofa - ready to be packaged `cos I had sold it on E-Bay - in fact he said he was frightened to leave the house when I was sorting out my clothes, in case I wasn`t here when he returned.  My reply was `Who would have me?`
