It's been a bit up and down in the past few days. I think I had been doing very well since coming home, but somewhere along the way I overdid things. On Friday I was looking pale, feeling cold, needing extra rests again and in more pain than for some time. I guess it wasn't a good idea to try and start reducing the pain killers I was taking but I had been feeling reasonably well up until that point. Especially after the stitches had been taken out from round the stoma as they were painful and pulling...

I got results of CT scan today, thankfully the scan is clear and my consultant is happy with my progress.
I told him that I am still going to the loo 3/4 times a day rather than the 1 time a day before the cancer. He said that it is normal because the colon is normally three and a half feet long and he took about a foot off so it's only 75% of what it used to be, so it has to go somewhere.
There was an issue with my bloods, my hemoglobin level is high - 17.2
I am going back for more blood tests...

Luckily for now she is not in any pain. She can not use her left arm or left so the symptons are like a stroke. She is in hospital at the moment...
A week or so after the stent was fitted things started to settle down for my husband. he found himself able to drink the super-calorific milkshakes with relative ease and managed a bowl of soup at the same time and speed as me. it felt like happier days were on their way.
Three days later it all went belly up. The acid from the stomach now has a clear passage way to erupt into and the fast tabs hubs was on were creating mucous and making him sick. The pain he has been in has been unbearable to see...

well ive been in hospital 3 times in 2 weeks! they tried doing a colonoscopy but had to stop just short of blockage because it was too painful. my duodenal cancer has grown slightly but they have decided they wont do a bypass on this as it isnt causing me a problem so far. as they couldnt do a biopsy on my blockage theyre going to make decision on ct scans, blood markers etc. so at this point im am to have an op, it could go either of two ways,1) a bypass 2) a stoma. what do you think asked my...
