    Little holiday

Looks like our little holiday which we planned for a week commencing this Sunday will be put off. Hubbie has a sore lump in his chest where line was taken out, in March. Phoned hospital who said it was probably caused by the line cap that was left in under the skin. Waiting now for phonecall to let us know when he has to go in for its removal. We were so looking forward to going away. You just cannot plan ahead for anything.I've booked off a fortnight from my part-time job. Perhaps we will have a...

    Treatment Days 8 & 9

    Day 8 continued

I am now a baldie! Pauline & I managed a real belly laugh or three getting to this stage, it felt really good to laugh like that. My only concern is that I now look frighteningly like my avatar. Went shopping for a few bits and then off to a couple of Pauline's favourite fabric shops for her patchworking supplies. Back home as (Martin) one of her work colleagues was calling round with his 3 year old. He expressed sympathy for our condition then told me "well at least you'll get some...

    another lump!!

Dave got up late today, about 10 am before he came downstairs. He looked rough so I asked him if he had a bad night again, doesn't sleep much since the cancer invaded. Couple of hours at a time and long spells of laying there waiting for sleep to come again. We do share a bed but the most I get in one hit is 4hrs so rather than disturb his sleep more I go downstairs for a cuppa and get in spare bed if need be.

Today was different, he really looked bad. Think he may have inner ear trouble as...

    chat room rocks

Hi just had my second experience on chat and found it a good place to be. Last night was a bit daunting as so many people on it my eyes were rolling trying to read your messages.

Felt like I was intruding at first as I am a carer not a (what would be the right word to use without offending) carrier, probably still not the right term to use. Anyway I went on again this morning and was amazed that Mel knew my age. How clever she is I thought, I asked how she found out and I then had a short lesson...
