I started my fourth cycle on Friday. This one has been very difficult.

Everything was ok until it was time to leave the hospital. As soon as I stood up my legs turned to lead. I could barely walk unaided and the car was parked at the other end of the hospital. By the time I got there I was a horrible sweaty wreck. Fortunately I wasn't driving.

All I wanted to do was sit in a chair and sleep. That was when the shakes…

Cycle 3 came to an end on Friday and I'm enjoying my week 'off'.

This one's been harder. The peripheral neuropathy I experienced at the start has gone but the fatigue is really draining at times. One day was spent dozing in the chair. I had no energy to do anything. I must learn to switch off but it's difficult. I feel that I'm wasting precious time sat on my arse when there's so much else to do. I forget…

Sorry I need to have a moan. Probably just feeling sorry for myself but staring to feel dreadful.

I started my 3rd cycle of chemo last Friday. I'm still getting peripheral neuropathy in both hand and now my feet.

Now I may have a urine infection. Ho hum.

    That's it. Rant over…

Well I made it! 11 miles in total starting from Derwent water (where the Dambusters trained) then up to Back tor and Lost Lad before the long trek back.

Many thanks to my fellow walkers who provided encouragement, Martin B, Martin F, Tony and our intrepid organiser Pete L. Many thanks to you all.

    The weather could have been…

I started my second cycle of chemo on Friday. Infusion of Oxaliplatin and Capecitabine as tablets twice a day since.

My first cycle was fine but I'm struggling a bit more now. I've been getting increased pins and needles in both hands and also occasionally in my feet. Also I've been experiencing increased bouts of nausea and increasing fatigue.

This is all to be expected as I was told that the side effects…
