    As the weekend draws to a close I can now manage to get my nutrition in less that 6 hours through the pump/tube. This will mean I can get some sleep without it after midnight. Most of weekend has been spent either feeling sick, being asleep or being in pain swallowing. Morphine doesn't do much except dry my mouth more, cocodomal helps me sleep and with swallowing for a bit. Tried to force feed a milk shake down via mouth…

    Into Sunday we go and I have an 'interesting' new pastime. My stomach feed consists of getting 1000ml of nutrition inside me daily via the PEG gastro tube. I have had to start on a low dose (ml/hour) to get the stomach used to it, this was 50 which meant the pump was on for most of the time. I am now up to 150ml per hour which lasts just over 7 hours per evening/night. As I cannot lay flat when being pump fed I really…

    Slowly ramping up the ml per hour on tube intake overnight and now getting a litre into me in about 9 hours. Trouble is I feel sick all night and when I wake up in morning. Throat soreness and intake of pain killers do not correlate, sometimes it's like swallowing razor blades other times the mucus makes it much easier.     Just waiting for final RT of week having been to see my doc in warminster this morning. Wait its me they are after - mega quick, I've only just sat down! So in an out in under 20mins! Shame the drive home took twice as long dur to salisbury traffic! So with two thirds of treatment done, everything seems on track.
