    Just settling down for the night and having doubled morphine dose am hoping for a better sleep. Whilst most of body numb, relaxed and tranquil, whenever I swallow I am in pain. What's the solution? If I close my mouth I don't swallow as much but mouth tastes of 'clagg' and mucus builds up in throat. If I open my mouth I need to drink sips of water as mouth gets dry almost immediately equals more swallowing. I could up…

    Finally realised that I had to step up pain relief to morphine last night. My account of last night is pretty graphic so skip this blog if you need to... First spoonful at 5pm made me feel a little nauseous, a bit light headed and slightly number to the pain.     Started tube feeding yesterday (Monday) evening, and was really lazy by not eating anything by mouth. Made up for it by drinking a thick tasty beverage in the form of a chocolate complan shake (its about as good as it gets!). Stomach gurgled throughout the night.
