    Have had follow up appointment with my consultant and he's happy that everything still OK  and no sign of the lymphoma so on 3 month visits now.  Am really pleased because they've now said I have an 80% chance of disease free survival in 3 years which is much more postive that I've had before.

    My new appointment with Occupational Health has come through for next Thursday, to see how I've got on so far and to answer more questions that my manager has about my ability to cope.  They had said they would be asking for a report from my doctor and consultant but don't think that's been done as I signed that I wanted to see any report before it was sent and I've not heard anything.  Went to see my union…

    Got a text from my mum today to say grandma had heart attack ... as if she hasn't got enough problems to deal with at the moment.  Had to ring to find out more ... feared the worst as they have said she won't be resusitated if anything happens due to the lung cancer and aortic anurism ... but she's still fighting.  The doctor came out to see her and advised her to go into hospital but she didn't want to and…

    Got my scan results on 23rd December, consultant pleased with progress, radiotherapy has caused 'abnormality' to shrink again since scan in May and because May PET scan was clear he says this is just scar tissue.  Said it is normal to have this because initial lymphoma was so big and would be more unusual for it to go altogether so no active lymphoma ... yey!

    Have done a month of my phased return to work now, haven't got a formal plan and working patterns have been a bit ad-hoc.  As far as the actual work goes I have enjoyed getting back into it and seeing all my colleagues again and have been able to complete tasks that I have been set - was really surprised at some of the things that came flooding back to me once I got going - maybe my chemo brain isn't as bad as I thought…
