Hi All
I have had my follow up appointment today after the last one didnt go ahead in the end cos they had some issues with the machines ...I feel so tired today so they did another biopsy today and I have to wait 4 weeks for the results from that ....My consultant is not happy that the referral for weight loss surgery is gonna take so long from start to finish its gonna be 2 years + that is just to get the weight loss surgery then i have to wait till i loose the weight and then I have to have the hysterectomy and everything so my minds just racing today I dont know how to deal with this My heads full of everything and doesnt really know which way is up I have a doctors appointment with my regular doctors next wednesday so i can tell them how i am feeling and i should be getting a call from the cancer nurse in the next few days im hoping she can clear up some concerns for me .....Everything just seems to be a battle for me at the moment sorry to rant but i cant tell anyone else how i am feeling not really im scared they will think im going completely nuts lol
Womb, no need to apologise for having a little rant, you’re going though a lot and it’s totally understandable and that’s what we are for.
Sorry to hear about your long wait for the weight loss surgery hopefully your oncologist can speed things up for you and it may depend on your biopsy results whether they decide to go ahead with your hysterectomy. I know they say a lot of weight puts you at more risk, but the risks have to be all carefully considered. I know some have had hormone treatment and its worked very well for treatment of very low stage cancer so they will look at what is best options for you, after all the factors are considered.
I sure your very frustrated and scared too at the moment and i just wanted reach out and send you a gentle bear hug . Fingers crossed for you for your latest biopsy results and for your Gp appointment too

Hi GBear
Thank you for your kind words Im finding it difficult to know which way is up at the moment i have so much going off Im concerned that the only department i am currently seeing is the gynaecology department. That they have told i have the early stages of womb cancer and the only thing they seem to be focusing on is my weight and the hysterectomy I thought there would be a lot more support offered than there has been.
Yes he is getting this cancer nurse to give me a call but it was like yesterday i gave him a form to fill in for me to claim ESA as i have taken redundancy from work due to me not being able to work since i got the diagnosis due just shear exhaustion and pain and at first for about 3 months there was quite a bit of bleeding. I have having issues with my emotions i didnt used to be like this before the coil was put in and on the form it says something like are there side effects of the treatment and he has put no.
But both on the coil leaflet and the nhs website say the side effects of the coil are Tiredness and Depression but he was completely dismissed that and says it is not anything to do with the cancer or the coil. If i submit the form he has filled in they are not gonna pay the ESA benefit. I understand he wants to get on with the operation and he isnt happy that i just havent lost any weight since i saw him in october even though i have explained i did loose some before christmas but i have put it back on for various reasons.
I dont know if i am right to be concerned or if i am wrong and i should just shut up and stop questioning everything.

Womb,
Hi Chrissie, it does sound like your not getting the support you need which is not just frustrating its not really except able . With regards to your ESA there is the citizens advice bureau and I would recommend you have a little chat with one of the Macmillan work and benefits advisors,(Missing Forum) or Ask a Work Support Adviser, they should be able to advise over your financial support and help guide your claim for ESA, the other thing I will say is that you are likely to be asked to have a work capability assessment as they take the results of that over anything your Doctors say even if your Doctors say your not fit. When you fill any form you always describe your worst possible day that believe it or not is actually something many of us have so much difficulty with but it’s important to do.
Oh and I believe you have every right to be concerned it’s only natural and maybe if you have more support and guidance you would feel more confident in the situation.
let me know how you get on.
sending you a gentle bear hug
