Hello everyone,
I am 11 days post operation. All has been going well..started walking again and managed 2.5 miles yesterday.
I've had spotting as expected from the beginning but I started with some sharp cramps in my lower abdomen.
Early hours today I began bleeding heavily, 2 sets of pjs and pads gone.
Decided to get myself to the local A&E to get checked out. Arrived at 530am who agreed I needed to be back under Gynae, based at a different hospital so they were willing to house me until 9am when they put my in an ambulance and sent me over.
Long story short, was in a tiny side room, well an old fashioned treatment room for 7 hours!
Unable to eat incase they wanted me in surgery.
Two consultants later, they have taken swabs and provided me with two sets of antibiotics. The view was there could be a possibility I might have an infection from the operation. They also cauterized the top of my vagina stitches also.
Seem to be left uncomfortable with what feels like severe cramping and a very large stack of sanitary towels. The joy xx
Here is to a better week ahead.

Oh boy Birdie, what an awful experience for you . I really hope the infection clears up really soon and the antibiotics do the trick for you. Rest up and feel better soon, and keep an eye on things to see how you go.
Sending you a big gentle bear hug

Oh Goodness Birdie22
You really seem to have been put through the wringer. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and you'll be more comfortable. Have a good rest and take things very easy.
Big hugs coming your way, Barb xx

Hi Birdie,
Sorry to hear you've been having such a terrible time so soon after surgery, and hope the infection clears up quickly for you. Walking is definitely the exercise to be taking but your body needs to rest up and heal too. Take care of yourself, and stay safe. Dx
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the lovely messages.
Day 1 of antibiotics let's hope, still got sharp cramping pains but hope these should ease off.
I had to go for an MRI on my spine today....I think I'm the only person that actually fell asleep whilst it was doing it's thing hahahah xxx
Hi Sunshine122

Well it's been a rough week already. Only a few days of antibiotics left and my face has broken out in acne spots. Not sure it this is my hormones or lack of that may have triggered it.
Still bleeding but not as heavy and the contraction pains seem to happen if I bend instead of being all the time now. I just have general pains now which I expect.
Has anyone else had this sensation...excuse the description but every now and then I get a very low vaginal cramp as if everything feels heavy down there.
I can only assume that so much is trying to heal inside so everything will be a bit odd to say the least.
Fatigue has hit me big time so taking extra sleep and rest when I need to.
We are expecting a lot of snow from Sunday and I am suppose to be at the clinic Monday for my results....if I have to go down the hill in a sledge I am going!!! Xxxx
