Hello I have my op tomorrow morning and so nervous and anxious about the whole thing, last time I had surgery was dec 2018 and it was fibroid removal I hate the bit as you go to the theatre and everyone is around you, I am having the robotic op at Christie’s who I know are amazing I don’t know what to eat today or anything and been doing relaxation on you tube which has helped, also been bleeding which makes me scared it’s spread it’s grade 3 endometriod cancer and stage 1a he’s taking sentinel node biopsy so scared it’s spread any advise would be much appreciate lots of love xxxx

  • It’s so good to get home. Hopefully the pain will subside as you get more comfortable. Enjoy the tlc.

  • That's great news!

Wishing you all the best for your recovery.

I found ice cream helped ;)

  • Glad you’re safely home - hope you sleep well tonight! I took 2 paracetamol at night for rhe first 2-3 nights just in case but didn’t need anything during the day. I was quite active, pottering around the house or going for my 5 minute walk, and also sat down with my feet up every half hour or so. I’d recommend all that as it helps things get going again!

  • Hello I had my first night sleep at home and it was so nice to be home with hubby sons and puppy woody xx

i managed to get some wind out which has helped not been to loo yet but hopefully it will soon not feeling very hungry been walking and got the physio plan to do 3 times per day

can you shower as normal with soap ? I so want a shower x

  • I showered on the Weds morning after having the op on the Monday. I was just advised not to get the scars too wet.

  • Yes just had like half a shower feeling better but not up to the exercise they given me yet x

  • I wasn't actually given any exercises, thankfully one of the nurses on the support chat sent me a link, unfortunately this was 2 weeks post op, so I wouldn't worry too much . We all have a different pace. How is your pain?

  • Hi it settles then comes back I need to go to the loo but not :( just tired today walked about taking the meds they gave x it’s also the surgery pain I can feel pulling when I get up x

  • Try to avoid stooping (despite feeling you need to) and take it easy. Are you taking any stool softeners, like Laxido, I needed these for over a month. I had cushions and pillows under my knees and to my side as I found it more comfortable to sit like that.

  • Hi Shirleydana, it sounds like you’re doing really well, especially if you’re walking. My first poo was naturally on day 4. What physio have you been given to do 3 times a day? Try and stand up straight - the pulling sensation can feel a bit odd but it’s just your muscles etc trying to get back to normal. The more you stand up straight when walking and use them the better,
