Hi ladies, thank you all for asking how I am and honestly it did not go to plan,  to cut a very long story short they had to revert to open surgery.  I was only discharged yesterday evening (Tuesday) and I am in considerable discomfort, I'm also quite upset that the surgeon did not remove even the sentinel lymph nodes and am not sure how my cancer can be staged properly without them xx

So sorry to hear this Jane66. Try to keep on top of pain! Have you asked why the sentinel nodes were not removed? Please talk it through with your CNS- they should have access to your notes. Sending you many get well wishes xx

ChocLab, obviously I’m not Jane lol, but just to say it’s not usual practice to sample lymph nodes for predicted grade 1 stage 1A, which is what I think Jane’s MRI indicated. I didn’t have lymph node sampling when I had my op.

Brilliant! Knew someone would have an answer- so good to know we all require different treatment for different diagnoses and we’re never alone! 

Choclab, I think Jane was expecting it done though as a special arrangement.
