Hi, I have just had a phone call from consultants secretary, hysterectomy and BSO brought forward to next Friday 5th August not sure how I feel about it yet....
Hi Jane66, my pre-op was the same. Still no results from the MRI and chest X-ray so I rang the cancer nurses and they are both off with covid. The admin person told me that I was being discussed in today’s MDT and she would get her manager to ring me tomorrow.
All the best for your results Mavis, will be thinking of you.
Robin
Hi Mavis, I hope you managed to get some answers from the MDT yesterday and that you are in a better place as its the not knowing that is worst xx
Thanks everyone. Still no official results as the X-ray fella from the MDT was off work so got to wait till next Monday now. The CNS manager talked me through the test reports but I’m really not sure what to think and of course they have to be interpreted by the MDT.
She told me that the chest X-ray was clear and that the MRI showed
I advised that I’ve had oedema in my legs for 18 months and had been having tests via GP to find cause as I was concerned it was lymphedema as my mum has it quite bad. She said she was going to add that information to the rest of the info to be considered by the MDT.
My surgery is next Thursday.
Hi Jane66. All went well! I was very well looked after and everyone was lovely at Woman’s, home yesterday, although felt every lump and bump in the road! Slept well and keeping on top of pain. Will find out histology on lymph nodes in three weeks and if I need further treatment. The info on what to take in was very helpful!
Hope yours goes as well on Friday- remember deep breathing!
Hi Choclab, welcome home and glad you slept well! I’d suggest a light simple diet till your bowels are working again - for me that wasn’t difficult as my appetite was a bit suppressed after the anaesthetic. Hope you feel a little bit better every day.
Hi Mavis, must be a bit frustrating not to have the complete MDT-interpreted results, but they’d only be preliminary anyway and won’t be fully known till after your op. I’d say by all means phone your CNS again if you have any more questions or can’t remember all that was said. 17% sounds like predicted stage 1a as it’s less than 50% but best to ask them about that.
