Hi all,
I start 1 cycle of BEP next week, I'm staying in the hospital for three days. I have read through historical posts but I wondered if someone could answer some questions. I appreciate the side effects of chemo are down to the individual so the questions maybe difficult to answer.
What sort of food can I take with me? Is there a fridge in the room or am I asking too much?
Am I likely to be able to work out (at home) during the cycle?
Am I able to do play golf?
Are you in normal clothes in the hospital?
Hopefully they're not too silly questions!
Thanks in advance
Hi Ralphy123
I don't have experience of staying in hospital for several days so can't help with your questions but I noticed that you hadn't had any replies to your post.
When I went for my pre-op before surgery I was advised what sort of things to bring for the day I'd be there, eg dressing gown, slippers, etc.
I'm assuming that you haven't been provided with any information from your hospital yet. Do you have a cancer nurse specialist (CNS) assigned to you? If so he or she should be able to answer all your questions. If not you could speak to your consultant's secretary and she should be able to help.
Hoping everything goes well
x
Thanks for your reply. This week had flown by and I haven't really had time to think. I have sen the Chemo Specialist today and they have helped with a few things
