Hi there, has anyone experienced ilioinguinal neuralgia or genitofemoral neuralgia pain after an orchiectomy, its something to do with pain from either one of these nerves that run through or alongside the spermatic cord, the nerves can get damaged during the operation?
Hi Chip5
yes - i had the operation on the LHS testical 6 years ago - initially it was just a numb area with a few tingles down on the inner thigh of the LH leg - i was a keen cyclist and it would give me a little bit of irritation but nothing major.
however the last 6 months has been pretty bad, severe pain over the scar, and this line of pain going up the stomach, and down into the thigh - going from intermittent pain to now a more consistent pain with stabbing sessions.
my GP and Oncologist has done nothing about this, apart from Physio sessions which have done nothing - tried to refer me to an MSK specialist but got knocked back.,,,
apart from going private to find the cause i'm not sure what to do.
have you experienced the pain/pains/issues??
Hello Rider
Did you ever find any causation for your pain and more importantly any relief? I am struggling with a similar issue and not really getting anywhere.
best Regards
