Having my second out

2019 - had right testicle out - pure Seminoma - no spread. No treatment required

last two months - small 8mm lesion on remaining, had tests - ultra, MRI, although specialists are not 100 percent it’s testicular cancer, the appearances show that it is. Consultant has suggested a partial orchiectomy. Which will most prob happen within the next month.

Thing is - I have some doubts

1. They are not totally 100 percent it’s TC

2. The lesion has not grown and stayed at 8mm for approx 3 months now

3. I asked my consultant isn’t there more of a chance that If you have a PO the TC can come back (if it turns out it is of course) - the answer was no because the lesion is on the upper pole of the testicle and not in the centre

they have had 4 mdt meetings about me, results sent of too barts etc - at the end of the day, I trust the NhS and the specialists, but i have a gut feeling about this, and I’m scared to say no because I might be wrong. The fact that my consultant had to search for a surgeon who could actually perform a PO set me back to be honest.

I would really appreciate anyone’s advice who may have gone through something similar etc - or just someone’s opinion on this.

would just like to add there was also a small 2mm lesion on the bottom - which was picked up the same time as the 8mm, however when I had my last ultra sound (month apart) the 2mm lesion had disappeared! I may be clutching on strings but shouldn’t that be considered ? That perhaps the 8mm is in fact benign and could also have the potential to disappear.. there is no spread since the lesion was found. And as mentioned above the size has remained the same

thanks

Have had a CT scan and nothing has spread but I am concerned by the testosterone issues as I am normally very sporty.
