Hi everyone,

sorry I haven’t posted in a while! Thought I’d update everyone on how I’ve been getting on. So after a successful surgery on 30/10/19, the surgeon actually told me that there was in fact 2 lumps on my teste which we both found unusual as I could only feel 1 and ultrasound only showed 1. Anyway, he then said my bloods were fine and that he couldn’t see anything that stood out to him on the CT scans but I was not to take his word for it.

I phoned the specialists for my CT scan results and I was over the moon when they told me on a mid Friday afternoon that they were all clear and no signs of spread!

i had to make the decision to take the year out of uni due to the amount of stress I encountered during this whole process! I was in my honours year and I definitely think it was the right thing to do. I’m focusing on getting my head and body back on track.

im also delighted to say, that earlier last week, I was given the all clear with 5 years surveillance! The 2 lumps were both seminoma and 1cm and 1.1cm in size.

As some of you will probably know, November or Movember is the awareness month for men’s health including TC. I decided to share my story on social media and later made a video about my experience with my University’s Sports Union. I will share the link below! I’m also delighted to say I raised £4150 and was the highest raising student in the U.K. I was inspired to raise awareness and some funds after joining this group over 7 weeks ago. I want to thank everyone who reached out to me, answered questions and even to those who have posted anything at all on this page. Positivity really does help you through this stressful situation and as a 21 year old, having this support group is absolutely fantastic!

im going to stay in this group and keep everyone updated on my upcoming appointments and thanks again to everyone who’s helped me during this hard time!
