Surveillance/ why do I feel so upset?

Today I met with oncology for the results of my op and CT scan. The results suggest the surgery was successful in removing the tumors and i just need surveillance going forward. I should be elated but I am not I feel unbelievably sad and emotional, everyone else in my family are happy so why am I not? Any help would be appreciated very much.

Don't know. Our minds are complicated things, the world is a crazy place (especially this last year), and you've been through the ringer. That's great news though. Really pleased for you. I'm sure you'll settle back into life in a few days or weeks.
