I had my appointment with the oncologist on Monday. The cancer I had was a very small seminoma and no sign of it spreading. I was told I've got about a 20-30% chance of it coming back but I'll be under aggressive observation for the next 5 years. Already had some blood tests and my next appointment booked. Waiting on a hospital appointment to check me over after my surgery. And I've been referred to a specialist for hormone treatment. I'm currently on the gel but I would prefer a weekly injection..
Despite what's happened and the pain and stuff I'm just so pleased I don't need any chemo or radiotherapy for the time being. I was told I'm not out of the woods yet until I'm discharged in 5 years time but at least I can lead what feels like a more normal life.
As I write this I'm back to work today after a month off.
