So I had cancer and had one testical removed. Which showed a large growth of cancer so they sent me for a CT scan.
just got the results and it has spread to my lymphoid in my abdomen so they have said I need to 4 cycles of chemo and will have to stay in hospital for the first cycle for 5 days.
would be great to get some hints on what it’s going to feel like and any recommendations on what I should take with me and how I will feel afterwards

It’s all come a a bit of a shock to be honest asi only noticed a swelling back in June and the first DR was saying is o my 5% likely I would have cancer. And recommended removing my testical. But the follow up Dr was the big shock when they told me I had cancer in what they had removed. But he was very helpfuld professional the nurse was the saviour as she helped me calm down after getting the news. Now I have Been transfers to a cancer center where the Dr explained all and once again the cancer nurse was great .
just no feeling anxious on the next steps as I know will have chemo

any advise is much appreciated

  • Sorry to hear that , alli can say from my p.o.v is when docs told me I needed chemo I just said give me the papers to sign and get on with it I DIDN'T WANT to know anything and what can or could happen Pray tone1 basically every meeting I had my fingers in my ears, I think not knowing what can or cannot happen is how I roll in life , less for me to get anxious over , oh not forgetting, I pray ALOT Pray tone1 prayers are so perfectly powerful.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery

  • I am sure different chemotherapy have different symtoms but my son had stage 1 testicular and had 1 session of carboplatin and had no side effects other than hiccups and constipation from the meds. The anti sickness drugs were fantastic . He was a bit tired but as much from stress. Hope this maybe brings a tiny bit of comfort. Pippa P
