Just been diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer after an MRI Scan. Very worried.
Kind regards James.
Thank you so much for all your help again. It is much appreciated. This forum got me through the ordeal the first time. In April my PSA was 3.90. I am scared that the non cancerous lesions in my prostrate have now become cancer and that is where the blood is coming from.
Kind regards James.
Hello James Retrovanian
Great to hear from you again although not under these circumstances, I am sure though you will be fine. As Alwayshope said in her post - I have been off line for over a week - due to political issues where I am at present!!
There are many reasons for blood in your urine and cancer is only one of them. You are being looked after by your NHS team and as one of "our family" we are here for you too.
Try and relax and take your mind off things - you have plenty of outside interests - concentrate on those as much as you can.
Keep us posted - we are all with you here.
Kind Regards - Brian.

Nice to hear from you again Brian. I hope you are keeping well. My GP is not being as helpful as he usually is and this starts me worrying, especially when he goes on about tumours bleeding more. Thanks again for everybodies input considering I have been away for a long time.
Kind regards James.
Just got a call for a CT Scan this Friday and a Cystoscopy next Wednesday. 1st and 6th November at Rochdale Infirmary. Having a PSA done this Wednesday.
Kind regards James.
Would all the awful pain and frequent urination I had 2 weeks ago just go away completely like it seems to have done if I had Prostrate Cancer?
Kind regards James.
Hello James. If all your symptoms have disappeared it implies that whatever was causing it was classified as 'acute', in other words short term and, therefore, linked to something like an infection or the kidney stone as suggested. A kidney stone can cause physical damage as it passes through to the outside and this can cause some bleeding. If it was linked to the prostate then you would not normally expect to feel pain in the end of the penis and the urinary problems would tend to manifest on a daily basis and possibly getting worse over time.
Your doctor is being proactive in ordering the tests, possibly because he knows that you need reassurance that everything is ok?
Let us know the results of your tests but I am hoping this is just a blip.
Thanks Alwayshope. My doctor has spoken to just now. My PSA was 3.95 in May of this year which is normal for a man of my age. You have given me a little hope.
Kind regards James.
Just had some more blood in my Urine. Had blood taken for PSA yesterday. Cannot go for Scans and Cystoscopy, No point. Don't want Cancer for Christmas or having to have Radiotherapy. Given up now. It was a bladder full of stained Urine.
Kind regards James.
Good Afternoon James (Retrovanian)
Thank you for your update. Your PSA was normal in May - let's wait and see what yesterday's test was - you never know!
Given up now.
I am so sorry to read that comment after all we have been through in the past 12 plus months. No one wants cancer or tests or invasive treatment BUT deep down we all still want to be here and healthy.
Christmas is a very important time for me - Christmas Day 2021 I almost died - I was on a hospital bed having a catheter inserted at 4.00am Christmas Day morning but those good people sorted me out and now almost 3 years on I am "cured".
You have nothing like the issues I have faced - you may not even have cancer, don't give up now - let's get this sorted and get to the bottom of the blood in your urine. We are all with you here.
Best wishes - Brian.
