I had my planning MRI Scan today. Had to be there 1 hour before so I could have my Enema. Took it at 10:55am.
"It'll take 10 to 15 minutes".
I waited... and waited.
Time was getting on. Time to drink 2 cups of water.
Still nothing.
I was told not to pee it as they wanted water in my bladder for the MRI.
Had the scan, it went well.
It's now 17:20pm... still nothing...
Good job I didn't take it at home and wait...
Think it must have been a Dud.
Hi Steve, When they do the scan they check if bowels are empty and bladder full. I never had to have an enema throughout treatment, So you must have been OK. When you have Radio Therapy the machine scans first to check bowels and bladder before it's fired. Glad it went OK for you.
Regards Reg
You might consider contacting the Guinness Book of Records, But I'm guessing it was a micro enema, so someone may have been there first!
