Hi all,
I wondered if a thread for those who have had non-nerve-sparing surgery might be a good one.
I had surgery in 2024 and they removed nerves on both sides of my prostate. Initially, I didn’t really give it that much thought after the operation in June. By November, I was physically well on my way to recovery, but mentally I was heading downhill mainly due to the knowledge that I would never have a natural erection again. Thankfully I was able to access Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and over the next two to three months I dealt with it. The key thing with the therapy was having to talk about it. If it helps you, and it may well, then unload on this thread!
