very worried

  • Hi , I’m sorry to hear that your worried, waiting for scans and results time seems to go slower than at any other time. I have a different cancer and didn’t want you to also be waiting for a reply. The site is going into read only mode for a time while the site has an upgrade you might have seen it on the home page.

While us patients and carers can’t type in our experiences to help you you can contact Macmillan

“If you need to talk to someone while the Online Community platform isn’t available, please remember the Support Line is here for you. You can contact the Support Line over email, live webchat or call 0808 808 00 00 7 days a week between 8am-8pm”

    Take care

  • Hi,  You can also contact the specialist Prostate Cancer Nurses at Prostate Cancer UK sorry can't find the number at the moment as the card I usually keep in the desk drawer has gone missing.  it is an 0800 number so calls are free from land lines and the lines are open from 9am until 5pm Mon to Friday and from 8am until 8pm (I think on Wednesdays but check on their website for number and times.  They have been invaluable to my wife and I when I went through all the diagnosis and early treatment as it was so hard to get in contact with my key worker at the hospital.

    All the best,

    Des

  • Not an expert  Al but non vascular tumour is normally benign. I would guess that your situation is caused by the prostate surgery and not due to the cancer returning.

You said that Psa after surgery was non detectable , have u had another Psa since then?

    Regards

    Steve
