Rising PSA following radiotherapy

Hi Mark

If it has been rising steadily ie: small rise on every psa test then the cancer may have returned.

The most important question, what do the specialists say about the situation?

Probably a scan at some stage but it may not show anything if microscopic amounts.

Hopefully someone will post who has been thru this.

hi mark. i had r.t. five years ago. my psa has risen from zero to 1.4 gradually. i see a urologist every year, and oncologist every year. six months between them. the urologist seemed mildly concerned abt the rise, but oncologist was pleased with the result!!!

work that one out!!!???

Saw my onc today and he is concerned about the speed of my PSA rise and he is requesting CT and Bone scans, he has also put me back on Bicalutamide .

He also said that if these scans are inconclusive, he would recommend a PET scan at London.

The show goes on.

in my men vs cancer group, i was told its normal for someone in late70 s to have a psa of up to 5,5.

also its rising as to be expected. no worries!!!

ps. i googled it and came up with the same info!!

i refuse to spen any more time on it!!!
