Hi, this is the first time I have posted on this group, I'm 16 months post op (radical prostatectomy) my psa is stable at 0.01. However I still have some leakage and wear an incontinence pad during the day or night as I work shifts. Has anyone else experienced this, furthermore I still can't maintain an erection for  intercourse even with injections.  This has left me with a very low self esteem.  Can anyone else relate please.

Hi dave I am 8 months since rp still wearing pads ,I can't even get an erection do you still do your pelvic floor exercises, I do 3 times a day can't stop leaking, I am going to talk with my nurse see what can be done .good luck with your own problems.

  • Hi Chippy.

Always worth talking things through with your nurses. They have a wealth of knowledge. Hubby is 10 month s since op and no erections. It's still early days but as if yesterday..nsigns are positive. Starting to get movement now with help of tadafil

  • Hi Dave.

I'm a wife here, hubby had op in March 2019, no nerves sparred. Some days are better than others with regards to his incobtince, if he's cold or its cold outside he finds he is worse. He does his kegels religiously but worth speaking with nurses always. He recently had physio to check he was doing kegels properly. ED is still had. No luck with pump even with smaller ring. It isn't enough for penetration. He has been told its still early days and he is on tadafil. His Penis is definitely not what it was and we are having a counselling session at the hospital to help us get over that (I'm told it can take up to two years to truly see how it affects you). All we would say this rbd is hang in there and seek advice always. Sometimes a little comment comment from a nurse or specialist can really help. We were in a bad place a few months ago but when they said its early ddys we had a renewed enthusiasm to keep going. Should add he had little to no feeling down there and his libido flew out the window. He was also Vit D deficient
