At the beginning of what i suspect to be a long journey

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

I'm in a very similar position to you, having just been given a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. I had been in hospital earlier in August with a burst ovarian cyst. At the time, the surgeon told me that it didn't appear cancerous, but the biopsy results told a different story and I was given the news at an appointment last Friday. 

I got the details of the Macmillan nurse for this specific cancer, have been in touch with her by email, and am expecting a call from her today. I've put together a list of questions I'd like to discuss. I am also going to try to speak to my GP today - like you I have another health condition that complicates things. At the moment I feel that it's such a difficult thing to deal with, that I intend to take all the help I can get. 

So my advice would be to use any support that is on offer, including speaking to the Macmillan nurse and your GP. The nurse may also be able to advise you on what other support you can access, or who else you can talk to.
