How long from biopsy to diagnosis?

Just wondering if any of you could share how long your diagnosis took after biopsy/surgery.

i had surgery 2 weeks ago today and just rang as in a flap and been told they are still pending and if I don’t hear this week to call back next week for secretary to check.

Everything has happened quickly but the waiting gets harder and harder. All the pain that calmed down after surgery is coming back and has me worried as they ended up leaving one ovary due to being stuck in bowel.

Hi ...results from the biopsy can take approx 2 weeks, the Cancer team get the results and then determine the best course of action that takes a further week or so really depends on hospital etc.

Hi Emmat,

I had my oncology appointment for results a week after my staging laparoscopy/biopsy and I started chemo a week after that. I am provisionally booked for surgery after three cycles of chemo to shrink the tumours and hopefully arrest the spread as my ovarian cancer is stage 3c. I do hope you hear something soon as the waiting is awful. At least once treatment has started you feel slightly reassured that something is being done.
